I just took my last final today so im officially on winter break now!!!!! woo hoo!!!!!!!!! (I still gotta work but at least i dont have any more school to worry about til the middle of january...my second to last semester!!!).
oh and on sunday i worked on the "Survivor: China" finale so here are some photos from the red carpet...this is one of the publicists' boyfriends...he wanted to do a "tough guy" pose lol:
I don't know why i did this pose lol...and by the way, i havent gained extra weight, it was REALLY cold (i think that's partially how i got sick) so i was wearing lots of layers lol:

So last night was our last night with the Danes and we had a lot of fun at the Key Club for the Jeff Buckley tribute concert. Then today I met them (and Ed) for lunch to see them one last time, and then gave them a tour of CBS...

| What A Day Today, Justin Yesterday |

So yesterday Lily and I saw Justin Timberlake in concert (because I got a free ticket to review it for the Daily Trojan)...I have pictures after the cut.
But first, today I went to class at USC. I parked at 2:00 on the sixth floor of my on-campus parking structure. well, when i got back to my car, i saw it had been broken into! the driver's side window was completely smashed, glass was all over the floor and my car, and my ipod was gone. look!:
I know, so fucked up! and it was horrible driving it back home with all the glass everywhere...anyway, justin pics are behind the cut...

Go see "Across the Universe"...its really, really good. Audra's friend wrote it too...and audra has a nice new house lol. and i almost got drunk off like 1/8 of a REALLY strong mai tai at islands. good times haha. |

So today was the whole reason my family and I came out to Boston in the first place, my cousin Rachel's wedding. Overall, it wa a pretty funny (and a little boring)...the highlight for me is best expressed by this picture though:

So yesterday Phil and I saw Beyonce in concert at Cox Arena in San Diego. I signed up for her fan club so I got 4th row seats, which was exciting enough. I also signed up for a chance to win a meet 'n greet with her a few months ago. I had completely forgot about it until Saturday when the fan club called me and told me I had won lol!
So on top of everything, I got to meet her (for a second)...here's the picture. I had to buy a print in the mail so that's why this one is water-marked (I actually had to take a picture of the computer screen to even get this one because it wouldn't let me save it!)...anyway, of course there's more (lots and lots of pics!) behind the cut...:

| My 21st Birthday Celebration! |

So here's the deal...my real 21st birthday is on August 31st. However, i am (unfortunately) going to be with my whole family in Boston that day for my cousin's wedding, which is 2 days later. Also, two of my best friends, daniela and marcus, will be in new mexico then so even if i was here i wouldn't want to celebrate it with my friends on my real birthday. Sooooo I decided to celebrate today when we're all still here.
You may say, "But Mike, how can you properly celebrate a 21st birthday without even being 21 yet." Well, considering that all my friends (except Marcus) are a little younger than me, I wouldn't have gone out to a bar or gotten drunk on my real birthday (not that I'd even want to necessarily) because I'd be the only one (besides Marcus) able to drink! So what did I decide to do instead? Simple...go to Knott's Berry Farm! (There are lots of pics behind the cut so give it a chance to load please...).

Today was the last day of my original CBS internship (even though I'll be continuing in the fall, it will only be part-time) but it was quite a last day! I got to go back to the Big Brother house and actually got to go in the backyard and watch the food competition live! After i took Marcus (who's back again...YAY!) to the set of "How I Met Your Mother." Lots of pics after the cut...

Ok so today was the big Live Earth concert Al Gore organized for global warming where all these big artists performed at venues on all 7 continents all day long. a ton of people i like were there (red hot chili peppers, the police, kelly clarkson) but the one i had been looking forward to seeing the most was, of course, Madonna.
she did 4 songs (Hey You, Ray of Light, La Isla Bonita, and Hung Up) and she looked really good. All of the songs were great (as usual) but La Isla Bonita was especially amazing. she sang it as a duet with a "Gypsy Rock" group from Eastern Europe I had never heard of called Gogol Bordello. I just really, really liked it and think it's just further proof of how unique madonna is...she's so famous but still makes time to be on top of things and even know about a group like this.
plus she is the only artist who would think of doing this and who could pull it off. and i just love how every time she performs an older song she changes it a little and makes it new and refreshing. so a lot may think she didnt pull it off and that it was weird and stupid but i really think it worked
so please watch it below but watch it all or at least give it a minute and a half or so before judging (the one with the big mustache almost ruined it but just keep watching, he starts to become endearing lol). and if you still think it didnt work by the end, then see if its in your head 30 minutes later. enjoy!

Ok, it is a must to see this movie...its called "La Vie En Rose" and its a biopic on French singer Edith Piaf played brilliantly by Marion Cotillard. It is such a great movie, one of the best ive seen recently. i promise you wont regret it!

Tonight I went to a "New Adventures of Old Christine" panel/Q & A at the Museum of Television and Radio so I got to meet Julia Louis-Dreyfus after, which was very exciting for me because she is one of my all-time favorite actresses (as you know if you read my post with all my lists a few days ago).
it was a small theater so not many people came up and hounded her after like at the paley festival, which was nice. she was soooooooo nice...i had a whole conversation with her about how "curb" led me to "seinfeld," which i got all my friends into, and then that led to me to "the new adventures of old christine." i also got an autograph and a picture!!!:
Phil also got an autograph and picture (but was kinda bummed because he said he looks high in it, which he kinda does lol):
So it was a very cool night and i am very happy. gotta get back to my frickin' 12 page poli sci paper. BYE! |

| "The Simpsons" Paley Festival!! |

Today I went to the last night of the Paley Festival, which was "The Simpsons," with my dad and brother. there were a bunch of writers and producers there in addition to the creator of "The Simpsons," Matt Groening, and the voice of Bart, Nancy Cartwright. Here are some photos I took of the panel:

And I was one of the lucky few who got an autograph from Matt Groening after the panel...everyone surrounded him and he didnt sign too many autographs because he drew a character from the show for every autograph!! So look at what he did for me:
Phil also got an autograph from him, and on Phil's program he drew Homer. so that was my day! im feeling a little sick but besides from that, it was pretty good. BYE! |
